Why this holds up

Five things make this different from the spreadsheet it replaces, and from most of what it would sit beside.

It counts backwards from the decision, not forwards from the expiry date — so a renewal shows up while you can still do something about it, with a name attached. It shows its working: every date and every figure links to the clause it was read from, so nothing here has to be taken on faith.

Permissions are enforced by the database rather than the screen, and they are in the product rather than in an upgrade tier. The findings are plain rules over recorded facts, so each one survives an auditor asking why. And when something is missing it says "cannot be assessed" — the 3 contracts in that state are the ones a spreadsheet would have shown as a reassuring blank cell.

The last one matters more than it sounds. Most contract registers are wrong quietly. This one is designed to be wrong loudly.

See what it refuses to guess

A bar stays at the top of every screen so you can come straight back to this step.
