Three dates, in the order they matter
Every card shows the same chain: decide by, notice due, term ends. Reading right to left is how the maths works; reading left to right is how the work happens.
The decide-by date is the one in color, because it is the only one anybody can act on. It is the notice deadline minus the time your organization realistically needs to make a decision and post a letter — and if that date lands on a weekend it moves back to the Friday, because nothing gets delivered on a Sunday.
That lead time is configurable. Set it to what your organization is actually like, not what it wishes it were.
